Based
on experience of the past nine years and information from blood bank
professionals, "VATIMTM RAKT" a product from Visual Access
Health Systems (India) was designed to improve the safety of blood
bank activities and also taking into consideration of fast service
to donors, patients. Menu-driven and able to run under Microsoft Windows,
it has many advanced monitoring features including directed and autologous
tracking; alerts for discrepant test results, quarantined units, deferred
donors, patient antibodies, and special needs; and extensive user-defined
issue controls.
"VATIMTM RAKT" tracks patients' blood test results, units
of blood and manufactured blood products with many different characteristics.
The number of variables creates thousands of possible test scenarios.
Test stream challenges the blood bank software by simulating every
potential blood type and product combination to ensure the software
issues the correct response every time. After the tests are set up
they can be repeated as many times as necessary.
